Born on November 26, 1919 in Butler County, Ohio he was the son of Henry W. & Elsie D. (Burkhardt) Brandly. He was a 1938 Dixon High School graduate; Retired from Parker-Hannifin of Eaton in 1982 and retired Farmer. Member of Eaton Church of the Brethren. Preceded in death by Son: R. Kent Brandly in 1988; Brother: Raymond Brandly in 1997.

Survivors: Wife of 57 years: Maxine (Brubaker) Brandly; Son: Dale Brandly of Tipp City, Ohio; Daughter: Delores Marker of West Alexandria, Ohio; Sister: Marie B. Flora of Eaton, Ohio; 4 Grandchildren: Sharon Manning, Karen Shore, Wesley Marker and Kellee Marker; 2 Great Grandchildren: Lacey Crabtree and Simon Shore.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, January 20, 2000 at Eaton Church of The Brethren - 1407 North Barron Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Martin Peacock and Rev. Greg Hyre officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19, 2000 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio.

RAYMOND HAROLD BRANDLY, 76, of Hamilton, died Friday, Dec. 5, at Mercy Hospital. Born Feb. 19, 1921, in Richmond, Ind., he was the son of the late Henry and Elsie D. (Burkhardt) Brandly. He was a graduate of Dixon High School. Mr. Brandly was self-employed in real estate, and had been a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Minerva Lodge #98, F&AM, Miamisburg; Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; Antioch Temple, Dayton; past patron of Jacob Eby Chapter #571, OES, West Carrollton; and president of the National WACO Club for 30 years.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Susanna Lynn Brandly of Camden, Marja Brandly (Michael) Irwin of Ventura, Calif.; one sister, Marie B. Flora of Eaton; one brother, Earl Brandly of Eaton; nieces, nephews and cousins; and his former wife, Alice (Campbell) Brandly of Dayton. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Kent Brandly.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.

She was born July 15, 1923 in Campbellstown, OH to the late Henry and Elsie (Burkhardt) Brandly. She was a longtime Preble County farmer with her husband Bill; and was a member of the Eaton United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Willis W. “Bill” Flora; son John Flora; and brothers Raymond and Earl Brandly. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Arlene and Tim Thompson of Reynoldsburg, OH; daughter-in-law Alice Flora of Eaton, OH; three grandchildren: Rebecca Cail-Cantey of Mansfield, OH, William Cail of Columbus, OH and Janelle and Doug Ellis of Wyoming, MI; three great grandchildren Teyron, Diondre and Aleiya Cantey; five nieces, one nephew, and numerous great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Mound Hill Cemetery (new section), Eaton, OH. John W. Flora, age 59, of Eaton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born April 6, 1954 in Dayton to Marie Flora and the late Willis W. Flora. He was a devoted member of the First English Lutheran Church, Richmond, IN where he served on the church council; he was director for the Preble County Habitat for Humanity, working with the Habitat for over 20 years; and was an electrical trade contractor for over 42 years in the Miami Valley area.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Alice J. Flora of Eaton, OH; daughter and son-in-law Janelle and Doug Ellis of Wyoming, MI; sister and brother-in-law Arlene and Tim Thompson of Reynoldsburg, OH; and a niece and nephew.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the First English Lutheran Church, 2727 East Main Street, Richmond, IN 47374 with Rev. John R. Walker and Rev. Brian Derrer officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
