Marie B. Flora, age 96, of Eaton, OH passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. She was born July 15, 1923 in Campbellstown, OH to the late Henry and Elsie (Burkhardt) Brandly. She was a longtime Preble County farmer with her husband Bill; and was a member of the Eaton United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Willis W. “Bill” Flora; son John Flora; and brothers Raymond and Earl Brandly. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Arlene and Tim Thompson of Reynoldsburg, OH; daughter-in-law Alice Flora of Eaton, OH; three grandchildren: Rebecca Cail-Cantey of Mansfield, OH, William Cail of Columbus, OH and Janelle and Doug Ellis of Wyoming, MI; three great grandchildren Teyron, Diondre and Aleiya Cantey; five nieces, one nephew, and numerous great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Mound Hill Cemetery (new section), Eaton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Habitat for Humanity, Eaton, OH. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements. John W. Flora, age 59, of Eaton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born April 6, 1954 in Dayton to Marie Flora and the late Willis W. Flora. He was a devoted member of the First English Lutheran Church, Richmond, IN where he served on the church council; he was director for the Preble County Habitat for Humanity, working with the Habitat for over 20 years; and was an electrical trade contractor for over 42 years in the Miami Valley area.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Alice J. Flora of Eaton, OH; daughter and son-in-law Janelle and Doug Ellis of Wyoming, MI; sister and brother-in-law Arlene and Tim Thompson of Reynoldsburg, OH; and a niece and nephew.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the First English Lutheran Church, 2727 East Main Street, Richmond, IN 47374 with Rev. John R. Walker and Rev. Brian Derrer officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
