- Thomas Warden
Thomas Warden, 69, passed away at his home in Waimea, Kauai on Sept. 10, 2017. He was born on Feb. 7, 1948, in Lehi, Utah and was the youngest of nine children.
In 1965 he joined the U.S. Navy and spent 2 tours (4 years) in Vietnam. Upon his return from Vietnam he worked at his rate of Operations Specialist at the Kunia Tunnel, Oahu at CTF 130 in support of NASA’s manned spacecraft recovery in the Pacific. During his Naval career he served on a variety of ships which ended with shore duty at Barber’s Pt. Naval Air Station. He was honorably discharged in 1985 and in 1986-1998 became the air field Manager at Barbers Pt. as a civilian. Due to base closure in 1998 he transferred to the range safety office at pacific Missile Range Facility where he was still employed. He was an active participating layperson at St. Andrews and St. Timothy’s Episcopal churches on Oahu.
He was preceded in death by father, Francis Martin; mother, Nellie Elizabeth Patrick; brothers, Dan, George and Jack; sisters, Peggy and Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of 42 years; stepchildren, John D. (Robyn) of Moanalua, Oahu, Gary M. (Terry) of Wailua, Kauai, Christopher P (Kapena) (Hope) of Jamestown, Ca.; daughter, Ceslee K. Gaddis (Dave) of Makakilo, Oahu; brother-in-law, Robert J. Moore, Jr. (Paulette) of Pacific Palisades, Oahu; brothers, Robert and James; sister, Donna Adams of Utah; his beloved dogs, Skipee and Angel; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
Private services were held
