She belonged to St. Paul Society on Dutch Neck and was a life long member of the United Methodist Church. Della enjoyed playing Bingo, watchin g TV game shows, completing jigsaw and word search puzzles and attending church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Myron Chase; sister, Mable Chase; and twin sister, Stella Turner. Della is survived by her daug hter, Louise Simmons of Nobleboro; son, Kendall Black of Waldoboro; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to join her family for a service to celebrate Della’s life 11 a.m ., Tues., Sept. 21 at the Waldoboro United Methodist Church on Friendship St., Waldoboro. The Rev. Beverly Blaisdell will officiate. Interment will be in the Dutch Neck Cemetery, next to her parents. Should friends so desire, donations in Della’ s memory may be made to the Waldoboro United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 354, Waldoboro, ME 04572-0354.
