WARREN – Mildred E. Gammon, 75, died at her residence Friday morning. She was the widow of Edwin E. Gammon who died in 1969. Born on March 18, 1907 at Warren, she was the daughter of Herbert and Lizzie Hoffses Waltz. During her life she had been a school teacher for the Colonel-Stairs Schoolhouse, Waldoboro. Mrs. Gammon was a past noble grand and life member of Mystic Lodge, Rebekahs. She was a past president of Ladies Auxiliary of the Patriarchs Militant, Lafayette 18, Rockland. She was a charter member of the Ladies Encampment Auxiliary, IOOF, Warren; was a member of the Warren Garden Club; the Warren Senior Citizens; the East Waldoboro Social Club; the Help One Another, King's Daughters of the Baptist Church Warren; member of the Mission Circle of the Warren Baptist Church; Ladies of the Auxiliary Warren Fire Departments, the Warren Historical Society; member of the Knox and Lincoln County Extension, was affiliated with the Maine Rebekah Assembly; was a representative of Warren Day Committee; was a member Of the Mystery Circle, Rebekahs; was a member of the E. A. Starrett Auxiliary of Warren; was a former member of Ivy Chapter, OES, Warren; and a former member of the Pythian Sisters, Warren. Mrs. Gammon is survived by one son, Earl W, Gammon Of Warren; twö daughters, Mrs. (Avis) Luce, Warren and Mrs. John -(Norma); Abbott of Imperial Beach, California; Leda Martin of Warren; seven grandchildren; two, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday from the Hall Funeral Home, Waldoboro, with the Rev. Sterling Hellmer officiating. Rebekah services will be conducted by Mystic Lodge, Warren, during the funeral. Interment will be in Goshen Cemetery, Waldoboro. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m.
