He was a lifelong resident of Eaton and longtime Preble County Farmer; he was an Army Veteran who served during WWII where he received the Purple Heart; and he was a member of the Eaton United Church of Christ, Eaton, OH.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Marie L. (Brandly) Flora of Eaton, OH; daughter and son-in-law Arlene and Tim Thompson of Reynoldsburg, OH; son and daughter-in-law John and Alice Flora of Eaton, OH; three grandchildren, Rebecca Cail-Cantey and Ron Cantey of Mansfield, OH, William Cail of Columbus, OH and Janelle and Doug Ellis of Wyoming, MI; two great grandchildren Teyron and Diondre Cantey; sister Vera King of New Paris, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH.
