- Herbert L. Stahl, 77, of Dutch Neck Section of Waldoboro, died in a Rockland hospital Wednesday after a long illness. Mr. Stahl was born in Waldoboro, Sept. 6, 1890, son of Charles P. and Annie Heyer Stahl. He was a poultryman and carpenter, a member of teh Methodist Church, King Solomon Masonic Lodge, Medomak Royal Arch Masons, and the St. Paul's Society. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Isidora Jackson Stahl, three sons, Arthur H. of Norwich, Conn., Reginald H. of Wiscasset, and John H. of Dutch Neck, three daughters, Mrs. Leon Winslow of Waldoboro, Mrs. Melvin Emus of Foxboro, Mass. and Mrs. John C. Reed of Santa Barbara, Calif., two brothers, FredH. Stahl and Ralph P. Stahl, both of Bremen, a sister, Mrs. Linda MacMahon of Bremen; 18 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday from teh Hall Funeral Home, Waldoboro, with the Rev. Edgar G. Higgins officiating. Interment was in Dutch Neck Cemetery.
