  	George W. Nicholson of Dedham, formerly of Jamaica Plain, age 93, died Aug. 24, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Mary Agnes (McDonaugh) for 58 years, he was the devoted father of George F. Nicholson and his wife Linda of Holbrook, Ann E. Nicholson of Dedham, and Joseph F. Nicholson and his wife Jeannine of Ware. Also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Shaun, Timothy, and Patrick Nicholson. He was the great-grandfather of Heather Rose and Lily Ann Nicholson; brother of the late Mary, John, Joseph Nicholson, and Virginia Kendrick. He was a Post Commander of VFW Post 722, Jamaica Plain and a member of Cyril P. Morrisette, American Legion Post 294 of Quincy. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Friday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church, West Roxbury, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
