MRS. ALTHEA E. WINCHENBACH
Mrs. Althea E. Winchenbach 63, died Monday in a Rockland hospital. She was born at North Conway, N.H. June 5, 1905 daughter of Walter E. and Mary Chaney Kaler. She had taught school 35 years in the area. She was graduated from Groham State College and was a member of teh West Waldoboro Methodist Church, president of teh Ladies Auxiliary of the German Protestant Society, past Noble Grand of teh Good Luck Rebekah Lodge, past worthy matron of Wiwurna Chapter OES. She was also a member of teh West Waldoboro Community Club, Secretary of the Waldoboro Alumni Association, member of the National Teachers Association, and the Maine Teacher's Association. Surviving are two brothers, Walter E. Kaler Jr. of Waldoboro and Benjamin Kaler of Friendship; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Newbig of Friendship and Mrs. Edward McGarth of Waldoboro. Fuenral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at teh Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Gordon Parlon will officiate and interment will be in the German Lutheran Cemetery.
