  LifeSketch	LifeSketch WALDOBORO -- Dorothy E. Maxcy, 93, died Feb. 25, 2015, at Country Manor in Whitefield. She was born Jan. 31, 1922 in Waldoboro to Oscar C. Smith and Rena Jones Smith. Dot graduated from Waldoboro High School in the class of 1939, the first class to graduate in the new high school. She married Earle "Doc" Maxcy on Nov. 29, 1939 and they settled in Waldoboro. She worked for several years for Paragon Button Factory and went to work at GTE Sylvania in Waldoboro in 1951. She worked for Sylvania for over 27 years. She was a member of the Orff's Corner Church in Waldoboro. She was a devoted wife and mother, who will be sadly missed. She and Earle spent 30 years at their cottage on Damariscotta Lake in Jefferson. They also spent 18 years in Florida during the months of March and April. She loved to ride along with her husband and her pet Sheltie to find new places or favorite places to eat. She was predeceased by her husband, Earle "Doc" Maxcy. She is survived by son, Dale L. Maxcy and wife Sheila of Waldoboro; granddaughter, Kelly Maxcy and fiancé Tom Scofield of Jefferson; and great-grandson, Dustin L. Chamberlain and partner Nikki Pratt of Waldoboro. Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation from 1-2 p.m., Mon., March 2 followed by service to celebrate Dot's life at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Pastor Tom Rawley will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at the Orff's Corner Cemetery in Waldoboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dot's memory may be made to the Orff's Corner Church, P.O. Box 1021, Waldoboro, ME 04572. Smith und Rena Jones Smith geboren. Dorothy machte 1939 ihren Abschluss an der Waldoboro High School, dem ersten Abschlussjahrgang der neuen High School. Sie heiratete Earle „Doc" Maxcy am 29. November 1939, und sie ließen sich in Waldoboro nieder. Sie arbeitete mehrere Jahre für die Paragon Button Factory und wechselte 1951 zu GTE Sylvania in Waldoboro. Sie arbeitete über 27 Jahre für Sylvania. Sie war Mitglied der Orff's Corner Church in Waldoboro. Sie war eine hingebungsvolle Ehefrau und Mutter, die wir schmerzlich vermissen werden. Sie und Earle verbrachten 30 Jahre in ihrem Cottage am Damariscotta Lake in Jefferson. Sie verbrachten außerdem 18 Jahre in den Monaten März und April in Florida. Sie liebte es, mit ihrem Mann und ihrem Sheltie neue Orte oder Lieblingsrestaurants zu entdecken. Ihr Mann Earle „Doc" Maxcy starb bereits vor ihr. Sie hinterlässt ihren Sohn Dale L. Maxcy und dessen Ehefrau Sheila aus Waldoboro, ihre Enkelin Kelly Maxcy und deren Verlobten Tom Scofield aus Jefferson sowie ihren Urenkel Dustin L. Chamberlain und dessen Lebensgefährtin Nikki Pratt aus Waldoboro. Freunde sind herzlich eingeladen, die Familie am Montag, den 2. März, von 13 bis 14 Uhr zu besuchen. Anschließend findet um 14 Uhr ein Gottesdienst zu Dots Ehren im Bestattungsinstitut Hall, Main Street 949, Waldoboro, statt. Pastor Tom Rawley wird den Gottesdienst leiten. Die Beisetzung findet im Frühjahr auf dem Orff's Corner Cemetery in Waldoboro statt. Anstelle von Blumen bitten wir um Spenden im Gedenken an Dot an die Orff's Corner Church, Postfach 1021, Waldoboro, ME 04572.
