Am 22.8.1830 heiratete er die Tochter des verstorbenen Oberförsters Johannes Hartmann, Caroline, Marianne, Philippine, Elisabetha Hartmann aus Nenderoth. Von Beruf war er Schreiner. Oktober 2012 unerwartet unsere Welt in Frieden. Jane wuchs mit ihren drei Brüdern und einer Schwester auf der Familienfarm Gilbert Dairy auf. 1972 machte sie ihren Abschluss an der Rockland High School. Ihr freier Geist führte sie quer durchs Land, sodass sie später sagen konnte: "Ich habe alles gesehen, alles erlebt." Jane gründete 1977 ihre Familie zu dritt, gefolgt von ihrem einzigen Enkel, Kergan Michael, der seine "Nani-Perlen" vermissen wird. Sie war so stolz auf ihre Familie und ihre Erfolge im Leben. | 3212 | Janesville, WI -- "Everyday is a happening" was an often-repeated exclamation of Lana Van Galder, 71, who died at her Florida condo Saturday, January 25, 2020. Lana's tenacious spirit was formed in her youth in Janesville, Wisconsin where she was the oldest of three daughters to W.W. "Bud" and Jean Schwartzlow. Growing up amid the daily bustle of her parents' restaurant, the iconic Town and Country, instilled an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyment of hospitality. Lana attended Janesville High School and was active in drama and student council; she was also on the Rock Aqua Jay water ski team. Her first job was with Janesville Floral, a precursor to her design career. In 1967 Lana left Janesville to attend the Ray-Vouge College of Design in Chicago. As her parents dropped her off, they had one instruction: stay off Rush Street. After they drove away, she went directly there! From then on, Lana embraced the fashion and culture of the sixties and made many friends. In one epic story, she was working as the Easter bunny at Montgomery Ward's when fire caught hold and she evacuated the building to her boyfriend's convertible, still wearing the bunny suit. Upon returning from Chicago, Lana joined the staff at Rost Interiors where she worked until she ventured to become independent. She then started her own business, Lana Van Galder Interiors, that operated from locations on both Main and Milwaukee Streets. She recently moved to a shared space in the Alden House on Main Street in order to continue her vision of providing the "home of fine furnishings" for Janesville. This year would have marked her fifty-first year as a designer. In 1969, David Van Galder returned from the war. Tall, lean, and tan, Lana's friend from high school would now catch her heart; they married in 1970 and had two daughters, Arra and Leah. Their early years of marriage were spent supporting David's work with his family business, Van Galder Bus Co., while also expanding her own studio. The young couple enjoyed membership at the Janesville Country Club where Lana relished helping plan the children's parties and celebrating special occasions with her family and friends. Also at the club, she participated in the Ladies' Golf League. David's purchase of Rockton Bus Co., moved the family over "the border" to Roscoe, IL where the bus business expanded and they later purchased Dunrite Travel Agency. When David died in 2009, he took a bit of her heart with him. From small rituals like setting the evening table nightly (including "nice napkins") to wearing full witch regalia complemented by a high-pitched cackle on Halloween, Lana cultivated a sense of daily engagement for her family. She did not want to waste the blessing of sunny days inside and loved to spend time golfing, snow and water skiing, or swimming, always in the company of family and friends. Lana was a traveler. In youth, her parents and grandparents took her on trips near and far from Sunday drives to dine and dance at supper clubs to skiing in the Alps. With David and the girls, she relied on her AAA Triptiks to plan adventures to little-known gems. Lana applied her design talents to improve vacation properties in Iowa on the Mississippi and Edgerton on the Rock River where she and David enjoyed relaxing and hosting family boating and get-togethers. The couple planned a beautiful retirement property in North Carolina, but their condo in Florida was truly their "home away from home." Lana's extended family was important to her. Many generations gathered frequently throughout her years, and she was instrumental in making the celebrations lively and fun. She especially delighted in watching the children swim in "MaLana's" pool. She had a generous spirit and wanted her family to share happy times together. For the last eight years, Lana enjoyed the companionship of Gary Johnson, and from his interests had taken up attending state and county fairs. Lana's three grandchildren were her pride and joy: she thought of them always and supported them by attending their swim meets and performances. She loved to golf, boat, talk, and read with them too. Lana will be sorely missed by her two daughters, Arra (Ladel Cass) Van Galder of Rockton, IL and Leah (Joe) Lidbury of Appleton, WI; three grandchildren: Davis, Brooke, and Ellery; mother, Jean Schwartzlow; sisters, Janet (Dennis) Fugate and Jane (Blaine) Vance both of Janesville, WI; nieces and nephews: Allen "A.J." | 3217 | Jay Robert Kump, whose baseball creation "Jay Kump Field" became synonymous with Babe Ruth Baseball and youth sports in Elko, Nevada, passed away at the age of 88. Jay was born Dec. 9, 1919 in Clarion, Utah, to Catherine and Jacob Kump. Jay moved to Elko in 1935. He worked initially for Gordon Griswold and later found work at the the Rio Tinto mine. On an excursion to Elko for parts he met the love of his life, Charlotte Reed. There was live music at the Towne House. He asked her to dance and they never stopped dancing. Jay and Charlotte married less than a year later, in 1940. That same year, Jay went to work for the Western Pacific Railroad. The WP trained Jay as an electrician and he worked in that capacity for the WP until his retirement in 1979. He loved the railroad and often commented a train whistle was music to his ears. Jay and Charlotte managed the first city swimming pool before moving to Lee, where they owned and operated the Lee store for a decade. When Jay and Charlotte returned to Elko, Jay found the community was lacking in youth sports. Together with his children, Jay built a Babe Ruth baseball field out of a parcel of sagebrush and brought the Babe Ruth program to Elko in 1952. The field was officially christened "Kump Field" in 1959. Jay ultimately became a Babe Ruth state commissioner and was inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame in 2000. Jay's civic life extended well beyond youth baseball. For decades, Jay was the personification of Santa Claus each year, delighting children in Elko, Lamoille and Jiggs. He was active as a Boy Scout leader, achieving the "Order of the Arrow." He was also elected to the Elko City Council in 1975. Despite his varied activities, Jay's true passion was his family. For years, he served a full hot lunch for family members each Thursday. He loved family reunions, gardening, knitting hats and scarves for friends and relatives. He enjoyed baseball to the very end, attending the games of his great-grandsons as late as Monday evening. Jay was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Charlotte Reed Kump. He is survived by his sons Jake (Karen) and Moyal (Karen); his daughter Marva (Jim) Santina; grandchildren Jeff (Tania) Kump of Elko, Greg (Staci) Kump of Richland, Wash., Colette (Tim) Wickersham of Elko, Krista (Dave) Chamberlin of Elko, Casey (Brooke) Kump of Prineville, Ore., Brian Kump of Wauconda, Ill., Mike (Kelly) Santina of Phoenix, Ariz., Scott (Emily) Santina of Tappahannock, Va.; and 14 great-grandchildren. | REED, Charlotte Alcy (I40101)

| 3221 | Jeffrey E. Chapman, 56 of Nobleboro, passed away suddenly on March 2nd, which would have been his mother’s 90th birthday. Born on March 5, 1963 in Damariscotta, he was the son of Niven C. Chapman and Helen Winchenbach. He was a direct descendant of Anthony Chapman, the first settler of Damariscotta and builder of the Chapman-Hall House. Jeff attended Castner Grade School and graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1981. For a brief time, he served as an acolyte at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Newcastle. He loved old cars, and owned two Jaguars which he was very proud of. He also loved listening to classic rock, and was a bigtime Beatles fan, collecting Beatles memorabilia for years. His love for the outdoors led to his lifetime work of landscaping, gardening and wood-cutting. He was a former caretaker in the area, and did some landscaping on his own. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Gregory in 1969; and a sister, Rhonda in 2018. He is survived by his sisters, Eva Glidden and Carol Simmons of Damariscotta, and Paulette Chapman of Boothbay; brothers, Bruce and Jon Chapman of Damariscotta; brothers-in-law, Ray Simmons and Tony Goode; several nieces and nephews; and his very best friend, Rob Trial of Nobleboro. | 3224 | Jeremy, 55, of Hastings, MI. passed away peacefully on September 5, 2015 at Thornapple Manor surrounded by his family. He was born to Willis and Donna (Carlisle) Buehl. He attended special education programs in the Hastings area at the former Altoft and Chidester Schools, Eaton, Barry and Ionia Satellite in Lake Odessa (EBI Breakthru) and Positive Directions. Jerry was an institution at his church and in the community. He had a heart as big as the earth and he volunteered to help his fellow human beings in any way that he could, wherever he could. He served many years at Grace Lutheran Church; on the Ushers Committee, he belonged to the Adult Bible Class and was the Janitor for the Church. He was also employed at Felpausch and Family Fair for over 20 years as a Bagger. He was an absolute fountain of joy, his love and enthusiasm were beyond endless and he had a personality that was infectious. Surviving are his mother, Donna Buehl; brothers, James Buehl, and Jeffrey (Nancy) Buehl; sister, Joy (James) Frost; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Willis; and his brother, Joel. Jerry was at the Lauer Family Funeral Homes-Wren Chapel, in Hastings. Service was at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Kuhlman officiating. Interment will follow in Rutland Township Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions to Grace Lutheran Church or Thornapple Manor Resident Activity Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family. Born March 7, 1932 in Rockland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Francis (Mac) Boynton Maxcy and Helen Starrett Maxcy. Joan grew up in Warren, Maine and was a graduate of Warren High School and later received an Associate Degree from Westbrook Junior College, Westbrook, Maine. On September 14, 1958, Joan married Edric (Dick) R. Day from Union, Maine and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Joan worked as a Bookkeeper/Secretary at Butler Maxcy and Heath, in which her father was part owner. Later she worked as a Teachers Aid for many years throughout the SAD 40 District. Joan was a dedicated “Barn Kid Mom” at Hill-N-Dale Stables and supported her daughter Cathy through many years of competitive horse shows while traveling throughout Maine and out of state. She also loved the many dogs in her life as if they were also her children. Joan participated in many of the Couples Club Variety Shows at The Second Congregational Church of Warren. Joan is survived by her husband, Edric (Dick) R. Day, her daughter Cathy S. Clough of Warren, and her beloved canine companion, Wendy. The family of Joan would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Anderson, all the caring nurses and staff at the Sussman House for their comforting and excellent care during her stay. | 3249 | Johann Jakob Winchenbach (1737-1754) Johann Jakob Winchenbach wurde als Sohn des Bürgers Johannes Winchenbach in Herborn geboren und besuchte dort die Lateinschule. 1717 wurde er an der Hohen Schule immatrikuliert. Er war Hauslehrer bei dem Inspektor Scheurer zu Oberwetz und heiratete 1737 Christine Elisabeth Koch, die Tochter seines Vorgängers in Nenderoth, bei dem er seit 1736 adjunktiert war. 1754 ging er als erster Pfarrer nach Marienberg, wo er am 29.
