- Samuel H. Winchenbach, 70, died suddenly at his home Tuesday, in South Waldoboro. he had resided at South Waldoboro for the past 29 years. Previous to which he was a motorman for the Old Boston Elevated Railway, on the M.T. A. for 21 years. After retiring he was a poultry farmer. he was born in Dutch Neck Waldoboro, November 4, 1891, a son of Roscoe Winchenbach and Cora Genthner Winchenbach. Survivors include two sons, Carl A. of South Waldoboro and Robert L. of Rockland; two daughters, Mrs. Jean E. Winslow of Thomaston and Mrs. Doris E. Prock of Orff's , Waldoboro; three brothers, Roscoe Winchenbach, Quincy, Mass., Frank Winchenbaugh, Friendship and Thomas Winchenbach, Dutch Neck, Waldoboro; two sisters, Mrs. Julie Wotton, and Mrs. Fannie Pottle, both of Friendship; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held Friday (tomorrow) from the Flanders Funeral Home, Waldoboro, with Rev. David Glusker officiating. Interment will be in Sweetland Cemetery, Waldoboro.
