- Dear Friends, The twelve days of Christmas are speeding away, so it is time for our Epiphany letter. "The Word was made flesh and lived among us." God who came into our corrupted, messy world long ago, still comes among us in our world today. He went through the problems, trials and sufferings of the world and continues to be with us. We are thankful for the good health He has blessed us with this year, especially for Richard' s eyesight after his retinal detachment and surgery in Hawaii (July 2003). Nancy has been keeping busy. She plays organ about half the Sundays at a neighboring congregation and at Zion when needed. She also does the accompanying for LuHi' s two choirs and is teaching our granddaughter, Anna, to play the organ. We now have our granddaughter, Jessica, from Kansas living with us and going to LuHi. "Raising" a 15 year old is an interesting experience! Rebekah (her sister, who also lived with us and went to LuHi) is in her 2nd year at Concordia, Mequon and is
