  	BARBARA E. CARLOW LINCOLN - Barbara E. Carlow, 77, died Nov. 16, 2009, at a Lincoln health care facility with her family by her side. May you now be at eternal peace. She was born June 23, 1932, in Brooksville, the daughter of Carl and Helen (Grindle) Closson. She endured a long battle with her illness for many years. She may now rest in peace with her son, Roger. Barbara loved her family and enjoyed making cakes, and knitting blankets for her family. Her door was always open to all and she was kind and thoughtful to others. She leaves her loving and longtime companion, husband and best friend, Roger Carlow; she also leaves behind two daughters, Debbie Martin of Ohio and Joannie Greene Worrell of Florida; a son, David Allan Carlow of Mattawamkeag; her siblings, Patricia Blake and her husband, Ernest, and Jane Hale and her husband, Donald, all of Brooksville, Arlene “Tinny” O’Rourke of Cumberland, Md., John Closson and his wife, Linda, and Richard Closson and his wife, Sherrianne, all of Brookesville; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Roger Carlow Jr. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Upcott officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice or Penobscot Valley Humane Society, 1 Park Ave., Lincoln, ME 04457.
