  	Kenneth Allan Ludwig, Sr., formerly of East Bridgewater, MA, passed away at Chesapeake General Hospital on August 27, 2015, at the age of 93. He was born November 26, 1921, to Arthur A. and Nettie J. (Snow) of Milton, MA. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Bernice M. (Bailey) Ludwig; and a brother, Everett D. Ludwig and his wife Grace of Whitman, MA. He is survived by his 3 sons, Kenneth A. Ludwig, Jr. and his wife Marie of Fall River, MA, Robert B. Ludwig of East Bridgewater, MA and Roy S. Ludwig and his wife Gerri of Culpepper, VA: and a special nephew and friend, James Bailey and his wife Yvonne of Suffolk, VA. He was a devoted Grandfather "Papa" to Michelle L. Mcneill, Kenneth A. Ludwig, III, Raygan K. Ketterer, Kristin L. Figlioli, Robert B. Ludwig, Jr., and Kathleen M. Lacasse. Great Grandfather to Kristina Garneau, Matthew Mcneill, Amber, Jack and Graham Ludwig and Aiden Humphrey. A World War II Veteran, Mr. Ludwig served with honor throughout Europe with the 1st Infantry Division also known as the "Big Red One" and the "Fighting First". A retired Massachusetts Correctional Officer at MCI Bridgewater, Mr. Ludwig and his bride retired to the Chesapeake area where they enjoyed many happy years together. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel.
