Mrs. Marion E. Miller of Waldoboro, the wife of John H. Miller, died Friday at her home. She was 77. She was born April 5, 1896 at Presque Isle, the daughter of Josiah Hodgdon and Caroline Giberson Hodgdon. She was a 52-year member and matron of Wiwurna Chapter, OES, and a past matron of the order. She was a 40-year member of the Women\'s Club and was an expert gardener and handicrafter. She is survived by her husband of Waldoboro; a son, Roger E., also of Waldoboro; a daughter, Mrs. Mona Pagelf of Wobarn, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Zipporah Graff of Mars Hill and Mrs. Ella Payne of Waldoboro; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles C. Kinney officiating. Burial was in the German Lutheran Cemetery. Lincoln County News: February 14, 1974. |
