Lista J. Colson, 72, wife of Eugene Colson, passed away on the morning of May 18, 2017, at Sussman House in Rockport with her loving family by her side. Born Jan. 4, 1945, in Thomaston, she was the daughter of Ernest and Bertha (Winslow) Robinson. Lista attended schools in Thomaston and graduated from Thomaston High School. In her earlier years, she enjoyed camping up north with her brothers and sisters-in-law, Amoe and Lura, Walter and Audrey, Ernie and Sharon, Dougie Robinson and his companion, “Dino,” “road trips,” dancing at Echo Hill, Senebec Lodge and the Rendezvous, beano nights and making wreaths with her best friend, Vida Kelley, and her daughters, Victoria and Kerry; clamming alongside her “boys,” brothers, husband and son-in-law Tim, along with her many shopping adventures from Vermont to Maine. She loved each and every one of her sisters and brothers, but especially enjoyed spending quality time with her sisters Darlene Miller and Janice Cotton, and their spouses, Otto and Ted. She always had a beaming smile and her eyes would light up whenever one of her brothers, Amoe, Dougie or Richard “Peanut,” would “pop in” for a surprise visit; reminiscing about the “old days” with her kids and their friends, the many Christmas parties and Fourth of July celebrations; and her brother Randy’s love of peanut butter cups. Her family was the most important factor in her life. She was an honest, loving, hardworking wife and mother who took great pride in her family and never turned a person in need away. Her door was always open. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Bertha (Winslow) Robinson, sisters Katherine “Schwab” Ariotti, Debbie Brochu, Vivian Mansfield, Ernest Robinson, Richard Robinson and Walter Robinson. Lista is survived by her brothers, Percy Robinson, William Robinson, Douglas Robinson, Gregory Robinson, Randall Robinson; sisters Janice Cotton, Carrie Nelson, Darlene Miller and Patricia Stone; her devoted and loving husband of 54 years, Eugene Colson; three daughters, Victoria Watts and her husband, Timothy, of Rockport, Michelle Sawyer and her husband, David, of Thomaston, Kerry Fernands and her husband, John, of Rockland; twin sons, Michael Colson and his wife, Kerry, of Cushing, Mark Colson and his wife, Michelle, of St. George; 12 grandchildren, Timothy Jr., Nicole Watts, Shannon Watts, Jenifer Watts, Shamus Watts, Kaitlyn Fernands, Kameron Fernands, Michael S.
