	Hazel D. Hyjek, 75, formerly of Lakeland, Fla., died Dec. 18, 2000. She was born in Waldoboro, Maine, a daughter of Thomas and Ruth Winchenbach Sr., and attended local schools, graduating from Waldoboro High School. She attended Dean Vocational School in 1967, becoming a licensed practical nurse. She married John J. Hyjek Sr. and moved to Holyoke, Mass., where they resided for 30 years. Mrs. Hyjek worked as an emergency room nurse at Holyoke Hospital for several years, as well as a charge nurse at Holyoke Soldiers Home. She later worked at Worcester (Mass.) County Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Hyjek traveled to San Antonio and Lakeland, Fla., spending 10 years in Lakeland. She has lived here for the last two months. Her husband died previously. Surviving are two sons, John J. Jr. of Holiday, Fla., and Victor Hyjek of Medford; two daughters, Diane Crisostomo of Ludlow, Mass., and Constance Tincher of Boylston, Mass.; three sisters, Phyllis Tarka of Chicopee, Mass., and Ann Severson and Ruth Castner, both of Waldoboro, Maine; two brothers, Thomas Jr. of Waldoboro and Robert Winchenbach of Camden, Maine; and five grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday.
