Clarence E. Hilt, 77, Waldoboro died at his home December 5, after a long illness. He was the husband of Christy Sprague Hilt. He was born in Union, son of Ernest and ELizabeth Luce Hilt. Mr. Hilt had lived in Waldoboro for 54 years and was employed as a mechanic at the John Gray Co., Waldoboro, the Waldoboro Garage and Harold C. Ralph, Inc. He was a 50 year member of the Masons, a member of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, and attended the First Baptist church of Waldoboro. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Rudolph (Marion) Kantola of Waldoboro; a granddaughter and a great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Hall Funeral Home, 77, Main St., the Rev. Harlan deBrun officiating. Interment in German Lutheran Cemetery.
