She was born in Waldoboro, May 19, 1899, the daughter of Otto V. and Nellie Benner Hassner. She was a lifelong resident of Waldoboro, and was a member of the Waldoboro Women's Club. She was active in the Lincoln County Democratic Club and attended the Village Methodist Church. Surviving besides her husband, are a son, Clarence E. Woodbury, Jr., of Kezar Falls, three nieces, Mrs. Virginia Winchenbach of Waldoboro, Mrs. Barbara Gogardis of New Britain, Conn., and Mrs. Frances Clarke of Rockland. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Flanders Funeral Home, Waldoboro with Rev. David Glusker officiating. Interment was in the Rural Cemetery. Lincoln County News: March 14th, 1963. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 10, at the Flanders Funeral Home, for Mrs. Lucy Woodbury, 63, who died March 7 in a Rockland hospital. Rev. David Gluskler officiated. She was born here May 19, 1899, daughter of Otto and Nettie Benner Hassner. Mrs. Woodbury was a member of the Waldoboro Women's Club and the Lincoln County Democratic Club. She attended the Waldoboro Village Church. Besides her husband, Clarence E. Woodbury Sr., she is survived by a son, Clarence E. Jr., of Kezar Falls and three nieces.
