LifeSketch WALDOBORO - Elmer R. Hoch, 82, died at his residence here on Monday. He was the husband of A. Thelma Cuthertson Hoch. A native of Waldoboro he was born on Dec. 12, 1886 the son of Ambrose and Catherine Oliver Hoch. he had been a lifelong resident of Waldoboro and was a farmer by occupation. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Hoch was the oldest veteran of U. S. Army of World War 1 in this area. Besides his widow of Waldoboro, Mr. Hoch is survived by two sons, Elmer R. Hoch Jr., and Patrick L. Hoch, both of Waldoboro; two daughters, Mrs. Helen C. Martin of Rockville, Conn., and Mrs. Sarah C. Parker of Waldoboro; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday from the Hall Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Parlin officiating. Interment will be at the Rural Cemetery, Waldoboro. Elmer R.
