Eugene F. Winchenbach, 63, Appleton, husband of Ethel Hilbrook Winchenbach died Aug. 24 in a Rockport hospital after a long illness. Born at Waldoboro, he was the son of Harold and Ruth Creamer Winchenbach. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Mary) Francis of Rockland, three sons, Richard of Rockland, gene of Appleton and Paul of Portland, three stepdaughters, Alice Dearborn and Mrs. Floyd (Evelyn) Grindle both of Rockland, and Patricia McRay of Waldoboro, two stepsons Maynard Hilbrook of Cushing and Kenneth Collamore of Buxton, three sisters, Ruby Genthner of Bremen, Phyllis Waisanen of Thomaston, and Helen Chapman of Damariscotta, and several grandchildren. A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the German Cemetery Waldoboro. Arrangements by the Carpenter Funeral Home, Rockland. Lincoln County News; August 29th, 1985. |
