Leland A. Winchenbach, 63, of Waldoboro died Saturday at his home. Mr. Wichenbach was born in Waldoboro July 2, 1889, son of Sanford and Maud Burns Winchenbach. He attended the local schools and a business college. For 25 years he was export manager for the Wellington-Sears Company, Boston. About 20 years ago he came to Waldoboro, and at the time of his death was operating a grocery store in Thomaston. He was a member of Wessagusset Lodge, F. and A.M., Weymouth, Mass. Surviving are his widow, Mrs, Dorothy H. Winchenbach; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara McAfee, Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. Arvilla Bowers, Damariscotta; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Fred and Edgar Winchenbach, Waldoboro. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Waltz Funeral Home, the Rev. Ernest Harvey officiating. Interment was in the Sweetland Cemetery.
