Mr. Lamers was born in the Netherlands and emigrated to America from Canada in 1951. He was the devoted husband to his life-long love, the late Willemina van Maanen Lamers who passed away in 2009. Mr. and Mrs. Lamers shared 60 wonderful years together. Mr. Lamers was an investment trade officer at Security Trust Company until his retirement in 1986. He was the son of the late Johanna Buyse Lamers and Harmannus Lamers. He is survived by his brother, Leonard D. Lamers and sisters, Dina Lamers Boot, Maria Lamers Mennes, Petronella Lamers van Loon and Henderika Lamers, all living in the Netherlands. He was predeceased by his brothers, Herman Lamers, Johan Lamers, Adrianus Lamers and sister, Johanna Lamers Sepers. He leaves behind many wonderful friends, nieces and nephews who will deeply miss him. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service Wednesday, October 12, 2011, 2:00 PM at Rochester Christian Reformed Church, 2750 Atlantic Ave., Penfield, NY 14526. Reception immediately following. Interment private. Memorials may be directed to the Church. Willard H. Scott Funeral Home Published by Rochester Democrat And Chronicle from Oct. 9 to Oct. 11, 2011.
