The following year, on the 1920 Mound, Pulaski, Illinois, George S, widower, 49--born about 1871, Life Insurance Agent, father born in Illinois, mother born Tennessee, is listed with his daughter Gladys A, single, 23--born about 1897, assistant Circuit Court, Albert G, single, 21--born about 1899, bookkeeper at the shipyard, Helen M, single, 17--born about 1803, Carlos J., married, 19--born about 1901, truck driver \"Transfer\", Mary H, daughter-in-law, 20--born about 1901 in Germany, (her father was born in France, her mother Germany), German is her first language, and James C Parker, grandson, 2-3 (illegible) months. (in order from census). Living on one side of the George S Parker family is Oliver Pate, 50, born in Scotland, a log buyer for the lumber mill, and his wife Delia and their two sons, Herman 20 and Sherman 19, who are both laborers at the Vienna Mill. On the other side is Charlie W. Blair 47, his wife Maud J (both from Ohio), and their son Horace, 11. There are no Parkers on the census living close by, but there is a George Freeman living on the other side of the Blairs. He is 31, a merchant (hats) living with his mother, Mary S, 56, widowed. The 1930 Census lists him as J Corliss (transcription error) Parker, 28, living on Commercial Avenue, Mound City, Illinois, own home valued at 2500, 16 at time of marriage, working as a truckster for himself, for the general public, with Mary H 29 and James C Parker, 10. The 1940 Census shows Carlos Parker, 39, born Illinois, living at 313 Commercial Avenue, home valued at 2000, completed 2nd year of high school, living with his wife, Mary Parker, also 39. Their son, James C, who would have been about 20, was not on the Census. Carlos died on Jul., 1966 when he was 66, in Mound City, Pulaski, Illinois. He is buried in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens ,Villa Ridge, Pulaski, Illinois. Cemetery note says Carlos Parker 1900 - 1966 wit Mary Parker 1899 - 1991. She died on October 7, 1991 in Saint Joseph, Berrien, Michigan. She is buried in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens, Villa Ridge, Pulaski, Illinois.
