Irene owned and operated L&L Realty from 1955 until 2001, when she relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida. While in Indianapolis, she was an active member of Fleming Gardens Christian Church, active participant in the Indianapolis Flower and Garden Club, former member of the Indianapolis Westside Exchange Club and served as a Boy Scout Leader with her late husband, Audy, who preceded her in death. Her daughter, Loretta Carol Powers, son-in-law, Jim Powers, granddaughters, Michelle Albert and Jamey Powers, grandson-in-law, James Albert, and great-grandson, Michael Powers, survive Eldred.
