6833 Vera Margot Seelbach Jensen was born in Garwood, New Jersey on November 27, 1933 and went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Carrollton, Texas.

Early in life Vera indicated her desire to serve others when she worked in a Nursing Home at 13 years of age. That started her on a path to a nursing career that lasted more than 60 years. She worked as a psychiatric nurse and a patient counselor. Vera was always available to reach out to those who needed support and guidance. She also held a deep passion for all animals, especially cats or kittens. She supported many organizations that cared for lost and injured animals with her generous kindness. It was not unusual to see squirrels and birds gathered around the feeders she kept outside her home. Vera enjoyed activities like flower arranging, painting ceramics, jigsaw puzzles, cooking and playing board games with Alex and Sandy.
Later in life she relished the Bible studies with her special neighbor, Ramona, and enjoyed learning more about our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of her belief in God, Vera had the strength to withstand the myriad of illnesses that befell her. After surviving surgery on her broken hip, her body peacefully gave out and she went to her reward in heaven.

Vera was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Matilda Seelbach, her sister, Louise Vignal and her first husband, Donald E. Jensen. Vera is survived by her three children, Sandra Lee Jensen-Greene, Jeanine Pernosky, and Lynn Miffitt; four grandchildren, Mark Pernosky and his wife Katie Pernosky , Matthew Pernosky, Jonathan Pernosky and Alexander Greene; and one great-grandson, Inunnguaq Pernosky. She is also survived by her three special cats, Katie Marie, Lexi, and Precious.

The family wishes to send out our heartfelt thanks for the support she received from the Flower Mound Fire Department and the EMTs who responded to her many calls with dignity, grace and professionalism; Las Colinas Medical Center
