While raising her family, she also worked as a nurse’s aide at Miles Memorial Hospital as well as Fieldcrest Manor and prior to Fieldcrest it was owned by Shirle y and Russ, and Dot’s. She also did private care until she retired. Ruby was an avid doll collector and was a thoughtful, kind, gentle loving woman. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Kenneth Genthner Sr.; children, Kenneth Genthner Jr ., Bonnie Poland, and Ray Genthner Sr.; as well as 11 siblings. Ruby is survived by daughters, Faye Neild and husband Eben Bucklin of Monroe, Kathy Miller of Waldoboro, and Wanda Bowden and husband Don of Waldoboro; sons, Gary Genthner and wife K aren of Bremen, and Ricky Genthner and wife Debra of Bremen; sister, Helen Chapman of Damariscotta; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her cat, Snookums, who she thought the world of. A graveside service t o celebrate Ruby’s life will be held at the German Protestant Cemetery in Waldoboro at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruby’s name to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 7, Edgecomb, Maine 04556 .
