TitelDisc 15, JPEG #10, with caption revised in February 2018: Thanks to cousin Patty Kelly Carman for having provided the JPEG of this late 19th century photograph professionally-made by "the Central Gallery" in Hamilton, Ohio, circa sometime during the later 1880s. Patty Carman and Bruce Garver think that her great-great-great grandmother (and Bruce's great-great grandmother) Magdalena (Magdalene) Lotz (1806-1890) may be the lady portrayed in this photograph, but we have no documentary evidence to prove it. Patty received the original photograph from her aunt (and her mother’s sister) Irma Louise Wismeyer Neanover (1915-1999) along with other old Lotz and Wismeyer photos. If the lady in this photograph is not Magdalena Lotz, she could be one of the two oldest of the seven daughters of Magdalena and Wilhelm Lotz, either Louise Elizabeth Lotz Wellner (1834-1900) or Katharina Lotz Schneider (1835-1914). But the lady depicted in this photo appears to be much older than either Louise or Katharina would have appeared to be during the last decade of the 19th century. Also, because this lady somewhat resembles Emma Lotz Morton, Mary Lotz Johnson, and Elizabeth (“Lizzie”) Lotz Wismeyer, I am of the opinion that the lady is a Lotz. Moreover, because this lady does not in the least resemble my great-grandmother Elizabeth Donges Lotz (1838-1916 and mother of Emma, Mary, and Lizzie), I assume that the lady depicted is not from the Donges family.
